Wendy is an intuitive who is interactive in her consulting, counseling and spiritual direction. She enjoys being a lifelong learner and is shaped greatly through God’s word, inter-cultural and cross-cultural experiences along with the many beautiful people she has in her life.
She serves Holy Curious as the executive director, as a member of the board of directors and as a biblical counselor. She also is an adjunct faculty member with Westminster Theological Seminary and contracts separately with the Christian Counseling Educational Foundation as an online instructor.
Her husband and adult kids are a huge part of her life, they love being on adventure together and encouraging one another in this as well.

Hayley is an explorer at heart. She is most at home walking in the woods or downtown, traveling, or enjoying good food and conversation with friends. She is a voracious reader, soccer fan, and music enthusiast. Ask her for her Premier League favorites.
Her vocation of singleness frees her to invest as an adopted "auntie" to young people in her community. As a counselor, she seeks to journey with people amid the tension of unanswered questions and help them discover the goodness of God in the midst of their season.

Karen lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband Rajah. She has five adult kids living in places throughout the world.
Karen loves cross-cultural ministry and the country and people of Japan have a special place in her heart. In addition to counseling, Karen currently teaches English and Bible in a local ESL ministry.
She and her husband lived and worked in West Africa for a season providing administrative and IT support to Bible translators. This along with other Spirit led work has given her a heart for cross-cultural and CCW counseling.
We are delighted that Karen is a polyglot, speaking French and Spanish; reading Latin, Biblical Greek and Hebrew; along with growing in her ability to dialogue in the Korean and Japanese languages. Her desire is to point clients to the love of God through the venue of biblical counseling and hopes to grow in her language skills to offer counseling in multiple languages.

Wendy lives in Winston Salem with her husband Lai Chow, and they have two adult sons. She grew up in Singapore and takes special delight in discovering new cuisines with friends. She also enjoys cooking, reading, running, being close to the ocean, and spending time with her family. Her latest hobbies are embroidery and learning how to play mahjong.
As a counselor, she seeks to understand a person’s unique life experience, and help them discover how Scripture speaks relevantly to their struggles/problems within the context of the Bible’s larger story.

Scott is a native of Lewisville, NC. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with degrees in Music and Philosophy, he earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary. In addition to his counseling work, Scott also serves on staff at Emmanuel Church of Winston-Salem and hopes to pastor a church one day. Married since 2017, he and his wife enjoy life with their young son and their dog. When Scott isn’t working, he enjoys listening to an eclectic mix of podcasts, reading theology, running, backpacking, and spending time with his wife and son.

Jonathan Dockery

Jonathan Dockery is a native of Winston Salem, NC, but spent his childhood in Dublin, Ireland. His earliest memories are of drawing, painting, and making up stories with his mother Julie. Jonathan’s early exploration of art, made art a necessary part of his exploring and responding to the world.
Jonathan is a pastoral mentor who specializes in helping people discover and explore meaning and purpose in their lives. He approaches mentoring with a narrative process, considering himself a fellow traveler with his clients. Together, by the Spirit, they begin to fill the blank pages of the future with a pen characterized by healing, redemption, aim, and growth toward and according to God’s purposes.

Jonathan has enjoyed a career as a Professional Visual Artist, also teaching in this field.
Jonathan currently preaches regularly in his local church,
while working part time for HC as a Pastoral Mentor
and pursuing his graduate degree and praxis in the area of Christian Counseling.
