Pastoral Counselor - Charlotte, NC and Virtual Availability
704-222-9563 karenc@holycurious.com
Karen lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, Rajah, and their two cats. Together they have five adult children living in different parts of the world.
Karen offers both pastoral counseling and contemplative spiritual direction, depending on the needs and desires of each person she meets with. Some come seeking support and guidance through difficult life circumstances or emotional struggles, while others desire a quieter space for prayerful reflection, discernment, and attentiveness to their spiritual life.
Whether through counseling or spiritual direction, Karen seeks to offer a compassionate and welcoming presence where people can feel deeply heard, gently supported, and more aware of God’s loving presence in their lives.
Karen has a deep love for cross-cultural ministry and previously lived in West Africa with her husband, supporting Bible translation work through administrative and IT ministry. She currently teaches English and Bible studies in a local ESL ministry.
Karen is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree in theology at Northern Seminary, where her work focuses on pastoral care, spiritual formation, and the flourishing of women in ministry.
