Give to Holy Curious from Your IRA
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)—sometimes called an IRA Charitable Rollover—is a simple, tax-smart way to support Holy Curious if you are 70½ or older. A QCD lets you give directly from your Traditional IRA to Holy Curious and may reduce your taxable income while strengthening biblical counseling, spiritual direction, and training for the body of Christ.
Why a QCD may be a good fit for you
Lower taxable income. QCDs don’t count as taxable income and can help reduce your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).
Satisfy your RMD. If you are taking Required Minimum Distributions, a QCD can count toward all or part of your RMD for the year.
Give more, simply. You may give up to the annual IRS limit (e.g., $105,000 in 2024; indexed for inflation in subsequent years) directly to Holy Curious each year.
How to make a QCD to Holy Curious
Contact your financial advisor or IRA custodian and request a QCD made payable to:
Holy Curious
EIN (Tax ID): 85-3252591
765 Highland Oaks Dr. Ste. 100, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
Ask that your name and contact information be included with the transfer, so we can thank you properly.
Let us know it’s on the way. Email [designated staff email] or call [phone], and we’ll provide a timely acknowledgment for your records.
Timing. To count for the current tax year, your QCD must be completed by December 31.
Good to know
QCDs are available from Traditional IRAs for donors age 70½ and older.
Most donors who don’t itemize still benefit, because a QCD can lower AGI.
If cash giving is difficult on a fixed income, a QCD can be a meaningful, budget-friendly way to continue supporting the work of Holy Curious.
