What’s in a Name?

Holy Curious is a posture of heart, a way of Spirit-filled living that presumes God is for us and, even more so, is for His glory. Being on mission with Him, even in the dark night of the soul, we are certain that morning will break through.

Those who are in vocational ministry have found a place of nourishment here, both for individual and couples’ counseling, as well as consultations regarding more difficult shepherding situations within their community.

Individuals from throughout the community are welcome; this practice is not only for those in ministry.

Our clients have included individuals from all walks of life, inside and outside the Christian faith, who are seeking a holistic counseling approach which encourages healing and living life to the fullest.

Strongly influenced and sharpened by the Christian Counseling Educational Foundation, CCEF, our work and many of our colleagues align with these values and CCEF’s excellent precepts.

A Bit about Our Executive Director Wendy Browne

I’m an intuitive who is interactive in my consulting, counseling and spiritual direction. I enjoy being a lifelong learner and am shaped greatly through God’s word, inter-cultural and cross-cultural experiences, and two professional careers, along with the many beautiful people I have in my life.

Whatever it is, we can talk it through and find a way forward.

Clients include

  • In areas like depression, anxiety, sexual orientation, gender identity, purpose, etc.

  • Whether there is conflict, issues related to divergence or a need for more vision-building, let’s consider these things together as you seek mutuality and unity in Christ.

  • Vocationally or educationally, you and/or your spouse may enjoy much success. In your personal relationship or with other loved ones, neurodiversity can present as a challenge, rather than a difference to be understood and enjoyed. Let’s do some work together.

  • Vocationally or educationally, you may enjoy much success. In your personal relationships, neurodiversity can present many challenges. Rather than a difference to be understood and enjoyed, it can seem like it is a deal breaker. Let’s do some work together.

  • Those caring for others can sometimes lose their way. Overwhelm, exhaustion, confusion and even a desire to escape can be common. Let’s talk.

  • Too often, individuals who minister to others lack places where someone can draw them out and speak truth in love. This could be your place.

You may need a fresh perspective, a person to help you test and sharpen ideas, an experienced counselor with whom to process ideas personally or a strategic planner for the next phase of development in your organization. We bring a cache of knowledge and an artistic soul to this craft. Biblical in foundation and current in our ideation, this practice has been a source of nourishment to many.

What People Are Saying

“Wendy’s warmth and ability to connect genuinely, her good humor and keen intelligence, enable her to apply insights and wisdom gained through years of experience in navigating the dynamics of ministry teams and non-profit systems. As a mentor, counselor, and spiritual director Wendy is imaginative, tender, direct, and intuitive. I highly recommend Wendy: an articulate communicator whose poise and calm grace is expressed in tenacity for others.”

Stephen Baldwin — executive director, Provisions Group, Inc.

“I have seen Wendy handle the most challenging and trying situation with poise and respect. When Wendy represents me in the field I am confident of the outcome.

“In our work, things change rapidly, and when Wendy is on an assignment for me I know that as situations evolve she will be flexible and will adjust to whatever is needed. I trust her judgment and wisdom in ever-changing circumstances.”

Beverly Bradstock — executive coach and senior partner at Associates for Professional Development

“Pastors and ministry leaders are among the loneliest people in Christian community. Opportunities to honestly explore their own souls and wrestle with hard personal questions are rare. Without hesitation, I warmly support Wendy Browne as someone uniquely gifted to offer such an opportunity. She relates with compassion, wisdom and a sense of calling that God can use to strengthen others’ souls.”

Larry Crabb — Christian counselor, psychologist, author, Bible teacher, spiritual director and speaker.
